I was one of the founding directors of an executive search recruitment company, working in the financial services, mining, engineering and construction industries. I built up the business from 2 to 45 employees, with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
We had a diverse range of clients, including top tier Australian banking organisations, major construction and engineering companies and mining explorers and producers.
We provided successful candidates to clients in Australia as well as New York, London, Oman, Singapore, Hong Kong and Vietnam.

I was General Manager of a broker/member of the Sydney Futures Exchange. We eventually became one of the largest clearing members of semi - professional and professional futures traders. It was a 24 hour operation dealing into Australian and international exchanges. My role was the day to day running of the operation including, risk management, compliance, margin requirements, liaising with the SFE, P&Ls, budgetary guidelines and HR. The company was extremely successful and was eventually sold to the Murdoch family through QPL.
