Nora was responsible for business administration, using QuickBooks.

Between 1992 and 2004, Nora lived overseas and devoted herself to parenting and voluntary work.

Nora is seeking to return to the IT industry, using previous and recently updated technical experience in any suitable role.

Nora provided first level telephone/online support to CA customers in Australia. The software she supported included ENDEVOR, MICS, Netspy and other systems management tools.

After being trained in QANTAS in data modelling tools and methodologies by DMR, Nora designed and built conceptual and functional data models for the following systems:

· Passenger revenue accounting

· In-flight duty free sales and service delivery management

· Currency exchange rates

Nora supervised the development and implementation of a new Human Resources system for ESSO Argentina . Her achievements included:

· Technical advice to existing system users

· Conducting system feasibility studies

· Evaluating user requirements

· Undertaking logical data analysis

· Designing the database structure

· Designing procedures to meet audit and quality standards

· Evaluating and selecting hardware and software suppliers

· Specification & prototyping of the proposed system

· System testing, tuning and enhancement

· Training of end-users

The methodologies used by Esso for the development of this system included Project Management System, Structured Systems Analysis, Logical Data Analysis and Controls Analysis.

Nora’s achievements included:

· Maintenance of the Freight Settlements and Sales System

· Design, development, testing and implementation of a new Direct Debit System

These systems were developed on a mainframe platform using COBOL, SAS and Mark IV.

Nora’s duties included:

· Team leader responsible for maintenance of the Accounting, Banking, Payroll and Sales systems, written in COBOL and Mark IV

· Conversion and testing of the Banking and Sales systems for Argentina’s new currency

· Design, development and testing of the Vendor Accounts Payable module in COBOL

· Analysis of the obsolete Plant Information Systems; recommendation of a new solution and the delivery of a functional specification using structured systems analysis

· Training co-ordinator for the IS Department

Nora developed & tested a new Loans Administration system for the Bank, written in COBOL.

Nora developed & tested a new Census and Population Statistics system, written in COBOL and running on a Burroughs B6700 mainframe.

Nora developed & tested a system for the Continental Bank that provided information about its daily reserves with the Argentine Central Bank.

Nora’s achievements at Burroughs included:

· Development of cheque classification programs for two major banks

· Software installation, testing and support for Series L mini-computer users

· Testing and support for the Burroughs terminal network

Nora wrote the scripts and tested enhancements for the Inventory application.
