  The Australian Bureau of Statistics is responsible for the gathering of confidential information that is required to accurately plan our country’s future. As an interviewer I was required under the Statistics Act to treat all information discreetly and subsequently  signed an official secrecy agreement .My work involved both phone and face to face interviews and involved the gathering of personal and confidential information and data and collating into a secured computer system.
    Since that time I was employed with the Australian Electoral Commission on contract work at their National Enquiry Centre for the last Federal Election.
    I am currently employed as a support worker in Respite Care. This is a part time function and I assist with disabled clients both in their homes and in the wider community.

  Advertising Manager of a country regional Newspaper and responsible for the recruitment, training, performance and motivation of five full time and various part time staff. I was also responsible for the paper’s main profit centre which is advertising revenue. My area also was required to create viable creative marketing concepts to increase both revenue and circulation. One particular year we were awarded the best Advertising Department in the entire chain of papers. This was based primarily on both revenue and creative strategies.

  Later I was promoted to manager of another newspaper and my function involved public relations with the region’s community, circulation , staff as previously mentioned together with production responsibilities and anything from newspics to writing stories.
