Mature Age Apprenticeships
Are you seeking a new challenge? Interested in taking up a mature age apprenticeship?
Australian Apprenticeships, supported by the Australian Federal Government, encompass all apprenticeships and traineeships. They combine time at work with training and can be full-time, part-time or school-based.
Australian Apprenticeships* are the best way to combine training and employment and they can lead to a nationally recognised qualification. Australian Apprenticeships are available to anyone of working age and do not require any entry qualifications. You can be a school-leaver, re-entering the workforce or simply wishing to change careers.

Age Discrimination Resources
Figures released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics highlight the pressures that face mature age workers in trying to stay in or re-enter the workforce. The Bureau's Job Search Experience Australia 2011 figures report that a staggering 18% of unemployed people aged 45 years and over found the main reason they had difficulty finding work was because they were considered too old by employers.

Applying to a Recruitment Agency?
Thinking of applying to a recruitment agency? We recommend using a recruiter who is a member of the Recruitment and Consulting Services Association (RCSA) the official body of the Australian & New Zealand recruitment and on-hire industry.
The RCSA's Online Member Index of more than 2,300 offices across Australia can help you quickly find a recruitment/onhire company. All members agree to abide by the RCSA's Code for Professional Practice and, as such, are committed to providing high levels of professionalism and excellent service levels.
Search recruitment companies by state, name and industry. Also check out the Adage Employer Directory to see which recruitment agencies are featured.
